Lay Eucharist Ministers who have been trained and licensed assist the Rector
during Mass. They also carry the Holy Sacrament following celebrations of the
Eucharist to the sick and shut-ins. Lay Eucharistic Ministers make visits to
all of the sick on the 4 th Sunday of each month. We also have young people that
serve as Acolytes and assist in the service.
The club raises funds and performs various services
such as minor repairs around the church property.
They sponsor an annual Men's Day celebration. Past
Men's Day guest speakers included Gil Noble (Like
It Is), Joe Clark (Lean On Me), etc. They also
support the Tape ministry. This ministry operates
the Church audio system during services and special
events. Services are recorded for later playback
and for distribution to our sick and shut-in.
This committee visits members of the church who are absent due to illness, disability
or other reasons and to let those members know that they were missed. The committee
is addressing additional services for the people they assist in the Food Program
such as clothing drives, hygiene supplies, health screenings and a Saturday afternoon
entertainment program. |
