Every Sunday afternoon this committee serves a nutritionally-balanced hot meal
to anyone who desires to come to the Church. The annual "Friends and Family
Day" is an extension of the Soup Kitchen Program. It is an event that welcomes
the surrounding neighborhood on St. Augustine's Day (our patron saint).
The mission of The Arts Guild (TAG) formerly, The Organ Committee, is to continue
the mission of our Church and to provide a cultural focal point within the church
and community. The main event is the annual "Jazz Jewel" luncheon.
Previous featured artists include Joey DeFransico, Charles Erland, Jimmy McGriff,
etc. It was the first affair of this type in the area and has been ongoing for
eleven years. TAG is affiliated with the Monmouth County Arts Council.
These men and women assist at both services every Sunday to help parishioners
and visitors that are attending our Church. Additionally, they are available
for special events held in our Church. |
